My Run is a movie based on the true life story of Terry Hitchcock, a father and husband who lost his wife to breast cancer in 1984. He found himself learning how to raise a family as a single dad, after the death of their mom.  Through the joys and challenges that he faced he realized how difficult it is to be a single parent family and the effect that it can have on children.  So twelve years later, in 1996, he decided to set out and run 26.2 miles everyday for 75 days…that’s a marathon a day.   Read more »

13.4 Mile Relay, Teams of 3 & 1.5 Mile Fun Walk

A little about the race: The race will be held on Oct. 24, 2010 , 8am @ Laredo Energy Arena, Laredo, TX . It’s a 13.4 Mile 3 person relay race and 1.5 mile fun walk. There will be live music, cash prizes up to $1000, and trophies to the winners in the different categories.

RunStrong’s goal for the race: Our goal is to make this a fun and inviting experience for all who participate. We want to encourage people of all ages to come out and join us and get healthy. All proceeds from the race will go towards health/fitness/nutritional camps for kids.
